Current Clients — Gingr Transition | The Dog Patch
Existing Clients

We've moved to a new booking system.

Gingr, our new client portal, is finally here so you can book Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming online.

What you'll see when you book

Gingr New Booking Request screen showing Boarding, Daycare, Evaluation, and Grooming options

When you tap Book in the app (or the portal), you'll choose from these four options:

Boarding

Overnight stays. Once you tap in, you'll choose by your dog's size — Big Dog, Small Dog, or Big & Small if you're bringing one of each. Adding grooming to a boarding stay? Add it as an add-on service inside your Boarding request.

Daycare

Daycare visits. Same size choices inside — Big Dog, Small Dog, or Big & Small. This is also where you'll find Groom & Play.

Evaluation

If it's been longer than 6 months since your last visit, you'll book a quick Re-Introduction in the portal first, free of charge.

If your dog has visited us in the last 6 months, you're all set — no Evaluation needed. Gingr will still say you need one, but that prompt disappears once our team reviews your account registration.

Please allow up to 24 hours from signup for us to review your account. We'll text the primary contact listed in Gingr as soon as your account is ready to book Daycare and Boarding.

Grooming

Choose this if you're booking a Grooming appointment on its own.

Want to book a groom with Daycare or Boarding?

Daycare — under the Daycare tab, choose Groom & Play, then follow the prompts and read the descriptions as you go.

Boarding — after you select your dates, the next page lets you add services, then follow the prompts and read the descriptions as you go.

📖 Please read as you go. When you tap into any option, you'll find a write-up at the top and helpful descriptions right within the calendar — with everything you need to know before you request. Please take a moment to read them.

Your step-by-step path to your new Gingr account.

Here's how to get set up, starting with signing up in Gingr — five quick steps. When you're ready, use the button at the bottom to get started.

1

Sign-up and create your owner profile

Add your contact info and keep communication preferences turned on so you don't miss reservation updates. You'll also need an emergency contact who is not one of the owners.

2

Upload current vaccination records

When creating your owner profile, you'll see a place to upload vaccination records. Please upload your dog's current records there. Multi-dog families should upload records for each dog.

Daycare & Boarding clients only.

3

Read and sign the waiver

Complete the waiver inside your owner profile.

4

Add your dog(s)

Next, add your dog's profile. Multi-dog families will add a separate profile for each dog.

5

Upload a photo of your dog(s)

Give us your dog's best passport photo — clear face, good lighting, and just them in the photo, please! We use this for quick identification and safety.

Next StepsOnce you've finished signing up, please allow up to 24 hours for our team to verify your information. We'll text whoever you set as the primary contact in Gingr once your account is ready.

Questions before you start? Contact us — we're happy to help.

Vaccination Policies

All daycare and boarding dogs must have vaccination or titer test records on file.

Adult Dog Policy

  • DH2PP — accepted for 3 years from the vaccination date, even if your vet record shows a shorter expiry.
  • Rabies — dogs 1 year of age and older must have received at least one Rabies vaccination in their lifetime.
  • Titer Tests — we're happy to accept valid titer tests as proof of immunity.

Puppy Policy

  • Puppies must have received their first two core vaccination sets, typically at 8 and 12 weeks.
  • The second set must be given at least 10 days before their Introduction Day.

If you're not able to provide updated vaccination records for any reason, please call us directly and ask to speak with a management team member. We're happy to talk through the next steps with you.

Want to Dig Deeper?

You can access your account through the Gingr Client Portal in a browser on your phone or computer, or by using the Gingr for Pet Parents app.

The app can be helpful if you want quick access from your phone, but it's not required. You can always come back to our website and click Client Login when you need to access your account.

Both options connect to the same account, so use whichever is easiest for you.

Once your signup is complete, please allow up to 24 hours for our team to review your account, verify your information, and transfer anything that applies to you, such as boarding bookings, grooming appointments, daycare packages, deposits, and credits on file.

This may not happen instantly, so don't worry if you don't see everything in your portal right away. We're reviewing each account carefully as we move clients over.

Once your account is ready, we'll text whoever you set as the primary contact in Gingr to let them know.

No problem. You'll have one owner profile, and each dog gets its own profile attached to it.

If you have more than one dog on your account, there are a few important booking changes to know about in Gingr.

For Daycare and Boarding, please select all dogs who will be attending at the start of your booking request. This keeps everyone together on one reservation.

Multi-dog pricing for Daycare and Boarding will look a little different in Gingr. In our old system, the discount showed as 30% off one dog. In Gingr, it will show as 15% off each dog instead.

For Grooming Appointments and Groom & Play, please book each dog one at a time. If you try to request more than one dog at once for these services, you'll receive an error message at the end of the request, which can be frustrating after you've filled everything out.

Not quite yet. Any reservation request submitted through Gingr comes through to our team first so we can review and approve it.

Your spot is not confirmed until our team approves the request. Once it's approved, you'll receive an email confirmation, so please keep your communication preferences turned on.

Our team reviews requests quickly during admin hours. Requests submitted after 7:00 PM Monday–Friday will be reviewed the next morning starting at 6:00 AM. Requests submitted after 4:00 PM on weekends will be reviewed the next morning starting at 8:00 AM.

Once you're set up in Gingr, all cancellations happen through your portal — we won't be taking cancellations over the phone or by text anymore.

We know this is a big transition, and you are definitely not on your own. If you're getting stuck, unsure what to click, or something doesn't look right, please call, text, or email us and we'll help walk you through it.

As everyone gets settled into Gingr, our goal is to have booking requests and cancellations come through the portal. This cuts down on back-and-forth and gives our team more time to focus on what matters most — the dogs in our care!

Absolutely. You don't have to figure this out on your own.

Please call us and we can either walk you through your Gingr setup step by step, or set up a time to help you in person.

Tell us! This is a big transition for our team too and we're learning as we go. The more we hear from you about what's confusing or broken, the better we can fix it for everyone. Call, text, or email us anytime.
