Thank you for being part of The Dog Patch family. We've been on our current system for 15 years and it's full of older information we've never refreshed — Gingr gives us a fresh start, gets us up-to-date info on your dog, and finally brings you online booking for Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming.

Less admin for us means more time with your dogs.

What you need to do in Gingr.

Five steps to get you set up and verified — then we take it from there.

Create your Gingr profile

Sign up at thedogpatch.portal.gingrapp.com. If you're using the Gingr Pet Parent app, use invite code 790862 when prompted.

Add your dog(s)

You'll be able to add each dog to your profile during signup. One owner profile, one dog profile per dog.

Upload current vaccination records

Upload your dog's vaccines inside their profile. See vaccine requirements in the panel to the right — and don't stress if something isn't perfectly up to date, just reach out.

Upload a photo of your dog

A clear photo of each dog helps our team at check-in and check-out.

Read and sign the waiver

Complete the waiver inside your Gingr account.

Once you've finished your signup, allow about 24 hours for our team to verify your information and transfer your notes. We'll text the primary number on your Gingr profile when you're ready to start booking.

Vaccine Requirements

  • DH2P (Distemper/Parvo)Required and must be up-to-date. Titer Tests are also accepted and encouraged.
  • RabiesAt least one vaccination required in their lifetime. Puppies do not require Rabies until 1 year of age.
  • PuppiesMust have at least 2 sets of puppy shots (8 weeks and 12 weeks). We recommend the second vaccination is at least 10 days prior to their first visit, as vaccines need time to provide protection.

If your dog can't meet these requirements due to health reasons, or if you have questions about what counts — just reach out. We're happy to talk it through.

What we'll move for you vs. what you'll rebook in Gingr.

Nothing is being lost. Here's exactly who's doing what so there are no surprises.

What We move for you:

  • Boarding bookings — including deposits already paid
  • Daycare packages — your remaining package days will transfer over
  • Grooming appointments — your currently-booked Grooming appointments will be moved into Gingr

  • Daycare bookings — please rebook your Daycare days in Gingr once you're verified

About your usual Daycare days

Don't stress about your regular Daycare days during the transition. If you normally come on certain days and they aren't booked in Gingr yet, those days still stand — just show up as usual and we'll see you. Once you're verified in Gingr, please go in and rebook your regular Daycare days so we have you in the new system going forward.

About the booking pause

Starting on [booking pause date] we'll stop accepting new bookings in our old system so we can move everything over to Gingr cleanly. If your appointment falls during or after the pause, you'll book it in Gingr once you're set up and verified. If you need to lock something in for the pause window, please get in touch and we'll make sure you're covered.

The details for clients who want to dig in.

No problem — just upload what you have and reach out to us. We can walk you through what's needed and figure out the timing together. Don't let vaccine timing hold up your Gingr signup.
Reach out to us directly. The booking pause is so we can cleanly move everything over to Gingr — but if you need a Daycare day, Boarding stay, or Grooming appointment locked in during that window, contact us and we'll make sure you're covered.
Before the Gingr go-live date, your usual Daycare days still stand — just show up like normal. After go-live, you'll need to be set up in Gingr to be checked in. If you arrive without being set up, we'll do our best to help you complete signup on your phone at drop-off, but we'd much rather you get it done at home first.
Your Boarding deposits move over to Gingr with your Boarding bookings. Nothing is being lost — we transfer those manually so they stay attached to your reservations.
Once you're set up in Gingr, all cancellations happen through your portal — we won't be taking cancellations over the phone or by text anymore. Until Gingr goes live, cancellations still work the way they always have.
We move those over to Gingr for you. Whatever's left on your package will be in your new portal once you're verified.
One owner profile, then add each dog as a separate profile inside it. You'll upload vaccines, a photo, and complete the waiver for each dog individually.
Reach out — we'll help you catch up. The hard deadline is the Gingr go-live date, when the old system fully turns off. Before that, we have flexibility; after, we need you in Gingr to check your dog in.
